Syria crisis deepens: Two ballistic missiles fired?

Damascus: Amid escalating violence in Syria, it has been reported that two ballistic missiles have been fired towards Deir ez-Zor, the 6th largest city in Syria and the largest in the eastern part of Syria, on Tuesday. According to reports, two ballistic objects were fired from the eastern Mediterranean Sea at around 10.16 am (Moscow time).




The Russian Defence Ministery claims that two objects were detected by the Russian radar, that reportedly fell into the Mediterranean Sea.The Russian Embassy in Syria has denied any information regarding the firing of any ballistic missile or any explosion. On the contrary, the Israel military has denied knowing any missile launch.
