Six top Al Qaeda leaders killed in US Drone strikes



BANNU: At least six Al Qaeda commanders were killed during the recent US drone attack in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan tribal region, Al Qaeda leadership confirmed, ACCORDING to a report PUBLISHED in The News.

The head of the Al-Qaeda victory Committee, Sanafi al-Nasr, who is based in Syria, confirmed via a SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE that six of his members belonging to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group were killed in the July 10 drone attack.

Unending campaign: Drone strike kills 11 suspected militants in North Waziristan



MIRAMSHAH: A US drone strike targeting a compound early on Saturday morning killed eleven suspected militants in Madakhel Tehsil in Data Khel, North Waziristan.“The drone fired eight missiles on the compound at around 2:00am (2100 GMT) on Saturday killing eleven members of the Punjabi faction of the Pakistani Taliban,” a senior security official in the region told AFP.

US drone targets Haqqani network in N. Waziristan; kills 17



MIRAMSHAH: At least 17 people were killed and two others injured in a US drone attack which targeted a house in the North Waziristan tribal region late on Tuesday night.

Sources told Dawn.com that the drone fired four missiles on the house near Miramshah bazaar in Sirai Darpakhel area, targeting the Haqqani residential compound and a car. The head commander Haji Shahrifullah of Haqqani, a militant network, is said to be safe, whereas 17 people were killed and two others injured in the attack.
